Wednesday, 5th June 2019: US President, Donald J. Trump, arrived in Ireland for a 2-day visit; some of us decided at the last minute that we should be at Shannon Airport to welcome him and counter the Soros funded far-left protesters.
I caught the last leg of the “climate strike” on its way to City Hall as I was heading into Arthur’s Quay Shopping Centre….a few hundred gullible teenagers and a mix of far-left and neo-liberal activists chanting their heads off, doing their bit to increase the city’s carbon footprint for the day.
The Limerick Leader reported that “OVER A THOUSAND protesters took to the streets of Limerick city this Friday afternoon in support of the global climate strike happening across the world today. ”
From what I saw it was closer to 500 and I sincerely doubt that children in China were out in force, which is ironic when you consider that the very type of government that some of these people advocate would have prevented them from protesting at all.
As the climate alarmists and eco worriers are busy saving the world by blocking traffic in Dublin and other western cities, causing motorists to burn more fuel while the “rebels” use a diesel engine to power their stage equipment and chant “listen Leo listen, 11-years left” outside the Dáil, the government has heard them loud and clear and responded with a carbon tax increase from €6 to €26 per tonne. Their antic have achieved nothing except the imposition of more hardship on everyone, especially the working class. The average “rebel” clearly hasn’t a notion what they are about, truly they are the new clowns of the neo liberal circus

A small group of about 20 Antifa Ireland members did their best to disrupt the proceedings, but failed miserably in their endeavours.
Antifa Ireland was founded in 1992 by Pat Corcoran. In 2009 Corcoran, a former civil servant, was caught with over 7,000 images and 21 videos of child pornography. In November 2013 Corcoran was convicted, but avoided jail and was given a 3-and-a-half year suspended sentence: https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/former-civil-servant-caught-with-7000-child-porn-images-avoids-jail-29755182.html
The 300 or so that attended the rally to protect free speech were mostly amused by Antifa’s antics, but it is the antics of our elected representati Continue reading…

A few Extinction Rebellion protesters recently marched through Penneys/Primark in Dublin to protest fast fashion and its impact on the environment. For it they were viciously scorned online by their right-on liberal peers. I think I know why. This one is a bit of a ramble.
