On Wednesday 10th August 2022, my youngest son and I spent a wonderful afternoon at one of our favourite swimming spots. It was unusual to have the Urchin Pool to ourselves because ever since the lockdown more and more people have discovered it and on our previous visit it was too crowded for comfort. The best way to discover the location is like most people do; they discover it while out for a walk along the cliffs and they see people swimming in it. Testing some “new” equipment in the Costa del Clare; I bought an underwater go-pro type camera with a fish eye lens in the winter sales back in 2019 and then completely forgot that I had it until now. Rumours that my channel is sleeping with fishes are watery at best; despite my best efforts to speed it up, my current laptop is running slow so I decided to take a break for the summer. I’ll be upgrading my hardware in the coming weeks and I will get back to making videos in the winter….be seeing you.

On Saturday night, 28th May 2022, I was standing at my door when I saw a fox cub strolling up my garden path. I assumed that the fox was heading to my water feature for a drink as it is a popular watering hole for the local foxes. The day before we had a family gathering and my niece was excited to tell me that she had seen a fox cub come into the garden and run out again; I told her that he was probably coming in for a drink, but got a bit of a fright with all the children running around. so when I saw the cub i decided to get out my phone and film it having a drink to send it on to my brother to show her. However, when I went outside there was no sign of the fox, but I could hear a crunching noise coming from the hedge, so I went over to investigate.

This shocking footage shows the Social Democrat’s Councillor for Limerick City West, Elisa O’Donovan laughing at her pet cat in distress; instead of helping the poor animal remove the plastic crisp bag from its head, O’Donovan takes out her phone and films it as it struggles to free itself, she the uploads the video to her Instagram account. The video was later deleted, but not before it was captured by one of my supporters and sent to me by email.
