He blames “population growth” in which they aim to increase Ireland’s population by importing a million by 2040!

Fazyard’s Seán Lyons, the Direct Provision operator, has withdrawn his tender to turn the Connemara Gateway hotel into a Direct Provision Centre for asylum seekers. biased RTÉ claimed the abandonment of the asylum plans for the town raise a number of questions “like the manner in which far-right groups infiltrated the campaign”. However, they refused to name any such groups directly.

RTÉ’s Drivetime heard that a committee from Oughterard who travelled to Dublin to have meetings with both Minister David Stanton and Direct Provision operator Seán Lyons of Fazyard felt they had been intimidated by Lyons.

Fazyard has purchased the Connemara Gateway Hotel in Oughterard and has tendered an application with the government to use it for accommodating asylum seekers. The Sunday Business Post reported that Fazyard last year received €5.5 million for housing about 500 asylum seekers, bringing its total to €33 million over 12 years.

Up to 700 people attended a public meeting in Oughterard, Galway where there was near unanimous opposition to any plans to accommodate asylum seekers at the Connemara Gateway Hotel. The govt has refused to confirm whether asylum seekers will be housed in the town but Cllr Tom Welby told The Niall Boylan Show last Friday that he believes the hotel is being renovated for this purpose.

The Niall Prenderville Show on Red Fm heard from callers over Riverside park hotel in Macroom being turned into emergency accommodation for asylum seekers without any consultation from the locals.

Mick Mulcahy heard that the hotel had fallen into disrepair but then new owners bought it three weeks ago. They informed employees they were going to close the hotel for three weeks but then a week later a bus arrived outside the hotel “sneaking in” asylum seekers. The staff were shocked as anyone else.

Hotels changing hands or being leased out before abruptly being turned into accommodation for asylum seekers is a common occurrence in Ireland as was the case in Rooskey and Rosslare.

Toronto area hotels housing asylum seekers have been inundated with “bad reviews” by disgruntled holiday makers who were kept in the dark when booking, whilst the Canadian government has been secretly posting fake reviews to hide the mess caused by their darling invaders.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada have been housing asylum seekers in Toronto area hotels and motels. The economic migrants, primarily those self-deporting from immigration law enforcement in the United States, are part of the more than 34K people who have illegally crossed our borders since 2017.

The asylum seekers were originally housed in area university dorms until the fall classes reconvened. As an interim solution, migrants were shuffled over to long term hotel accommodations while the government found more permanent housing.

But that’s not happening fast enough, and it’s bad news for the hotels and unsuspecting guests alike.
