Clearly the degree of multiculturalism is important, if it is similar culture like the differing European nations, it is fine, but if it is a huge difference in culture, it is guaranteed to clash.

However mixing very different cultures might seem novel and fun at first, when you talk about food and coffee table experiences, but when you go deeper there are serious clashes. This week Hollywood Developments started work at Balseskin Refugee Reception Centre in Finglas, North Dublin, to double the capacity of asylum seekers from 350 to 700 residents, as Ireland flings opens its doors to all comers from Africa and Asia. The centre is a fully catered reception facility where all meals etc. are provided and all the needs of so called refugees are taken care of. United Nations of Sexual Harassment? 1-in-3 UN Employees Sexually Harassed!

A shocking one-in-three United Nations employees report they have been sexually harassed at work over the past two years, according to a first-of-its-kind survey – and the figure is even higher for whole-career harassment.

While the most common types of “harassment” reported were “sexual stories or jokes that were offensive” and “offensive remarks about appearance, body or sexual activities,” more serious transgressions were also common, including offensive gestures and touching, as well as unwelcome attempts at conversation about sexual matters.

Two-thirds of the harassers were male. Only a third of the victims said they “took action” following the harassment. The survey was conducted by management consultancy Deloitte in the form of a confidential online questionnaire.
