Today in Ireland, Freedom of Speech is under attack and if this proposed law is passed we will have the Gardaí arresting people for Tweets and Facebook posts like they do in the UK while serious and violent crimes get less and less attention.

Eamon Gilmore wants to block freedom of speech !!! In visiting a Holocaust museum in Israel he said “…that we will never be allowed to forget, centainly not deny what happened during those terrible years.”.

Fuck off Eamon, people have to right to believe what they want. What you said Eamon is like saying “that no one will never be allowed to forget the Irish famine nor even deny it happened nor debate it”. While I believe the famine happened, (although I think it was more of an attempted genocide) people do and rightly so have the right to debate it and say whatever they want about it. It should be the same for everything else, and same for the holocaust. We don’t want to be like many European countries where holocaust debate is illegal.
