The Maynooth Taxis facebook page has posted a video of a group of concerned Dublin taxi drivers who setup a sting to catch a Brazilian man illegally working as a taxi driver, without a license.

Taxi drivers hitting back at uninsured, illegal, unlicensed drivers doing transfers. This driver showed up for pre booked transfer to the airport from Dame Street booked through facebook.

He knew what he was doing was totally wrong and we wonder how long has he been doing it for? How many others are doing it? Where are the taxi regulators? What are they doing?

Oughterard protesters have said they will not stop their protest until there are assurances that asylum seekers will not be accommodated at the Connemara Gateway Hotel contrary to the request of the Minister for Justice, Charlie Flanagan, for them to “step back while the process runs its course”. Yesterday, there was a collision between a protester and a car belonging to a security firm guarding the premises.

Cllr Thomas Welby said that the resolve of the people is getting stronger rather than weaker.

The Niall Boylan Show continued to discuss the topic of a new €65 Million tender by the Irish govt to provide new asylum centres in Ireland on the evening show.

Pádraig called in and told Niall that believed asylum was an industry: “There’s a lot of people making money out of it — like you said — solicitors on the gravy train, these hoteliers are making a fortune out of it, and a lot of these people that are making these decisions, Niall, are living in very affluent areas which are unaffected by mass immigration because remember this, Niall: Open-Border mass immigration is a poor man’s problem.”
