Carickmacross: In a case that has dragged on for years involving a Somalian “Asylum seeker”, it is estimated that the state, i.e. taxpayers, paid over 70,000 Euros for a Barrister, Lawyer and Translator for a charge in which a mere 300 Euros fine was issued. A letter that was written to the United Nations by over 500 international Climate Scientists and professionals has been published on the CLintel website. The letter is a plea to the UN to abandon its flawed models on Climate and asks for a meeting to update the UN on more up to date findings and data.
The Scientific Advisory Board (WAR) of the CLINTEL Foundation consists of eminent scientists from disciplines that are relevant to climate science. The members of the WAR are consulted prior to the publication of CLINTEL reports and scientific articles.

Mick Barry, Solidarity/PBP TD for Cork North Central, told Katie Hannon on RTÉ’s Late debate that he believed that the “intervention by the extreme right” in Oughterard was “probably the most successful intervention for the extreme-right in any community in this country so far.”
According to Newstalk, the Department of Justice has said the withdrawal of the Oughterard bid was “disappointing” and will “exacerbate a very serious situation in terms of a shortage of accommodation for those who come to Ireland seeking accommodation”. They warned Ireland was “perilously close” to a situation where accommodation cannot be offered to asylum seekers.

Fazyard’s Seán Lyons, the Direct Provision operator, has withdrawn his tender to turn the Connemara Gateway hotel into a Direct Provision Centre for asylum seekers. biased RTÉ claimed the abandonment of the asylum plans for the town raise a number of questions “like the manner in which far-right groups infiltrated the campaign”. However, they refused to name any such groups directly.
